Job Description
Responsibilities
- Assist all guests on the front drive with retrieving vehicles and luggage.
- Assist guests with their luggage and other requests as needed.
- Deliver guests to their rooms and ensure they are familiar with their room upon arrival.
- Maintain a presence in the Lobby to offer assistance to guests.
- Ensure timely and efficient transfer of luggage to and from guest rooms.
- Assist with luggage for arriving and departing guests as needed.
- Ensure all areas of responsibility are kept neat and clean for guests and colleagues.
Qualifications
- Previous customer-related experience an asset.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional presentation.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
- Highly responsible and reliable.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team.
- Ability to focus on guest needs, remain calm, and courteous at all times.
- A basic knowledge of resort activities is required.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience a plus.
- Must have ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.
- Reading and counting is essential.
- Must have a valid California driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of San Diego area including directions to areas of interest, restaurants, and suggested local attractions.
- An aptitude to secure minimum levels of skills and abilities necessary for proficient job orientation.
Physical Aspects of Position
- Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift.
- Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and handling guest luggage and personal belongings.
- Ability to lift and transport up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Frequent entering and exiting vehicles throughout the shift.
- Occasional kneeling, bending, crouching, and reaching.
- Ability to safely operate vehicles for extended periods.
- Occasional ascending or descending stairs, ramps, and curbs.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
