About the role

We are seeking friendly part-time Guest Services Associates to create lasting impressions for all visitors onboard the USS Midway Museum. This is a unique and fun environment for those who are upbeat, positive, reliable, and passionate about people.

Responsibilities

  • Greeters: Serve as the first point of contact for all visitors by offering a warm, friendly welcome. Provide general orientation, answer basic questions, and direct guests to ticketing, exhibits, or amenities.
  • Audio Tour Distribution: Ensure each guest receives an audio tour device efficiently. Explain operation, including volume control, navigation, and accessibility features. Confirm guest comfort and troubleshoot issues.
  • Audio Tour Return: Collect audio tour devices as guests exit, confirming equipment is returned in good condition. Thank guests for their visit, answer final questions, provide information about exhibits or events, and sanitize devices for reuse.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1+ years of customer service experience.
  • Demonstrated excellence in guest service with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Comfortable engaging with guests throughout the day.
  • Dependable, punctual, and committed to arriving on time as scheduled.
  • Reliable transportation to ensure consistent attendance.
  • Collaborative team player who works effectively and respectfully with others.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual proficiency in any language.
  • Prior experience in a high-volume guest service environment (e.g., theme parks, attractions, or ride operations).

Skills

  • Stretching, bending, and lifting audio equipment.
  • Walking long distances, frequent twisting, bending, stooping, and standing for long periods.
  • Operating large rolling charging carts in tight spaces.

Working Conditions

Work onboard a former Navy Aircraft Carrier in all weather conditions, both indoor and outdoor.

Pay

$18.00 per hour.

Schedule

Part-time, 20–28 hours per week, 3-4 days weekly between 9:00 am and 5:15 pm. Sunday availability is required.
