Summary Of Job Responsibilities
- Makes visitors feel welcome, assists with accurate information and directions, processes visitor requests, and directs to appropriate departments.
- Registers surgical patients.

Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Telephone and computer experience required.
- Must be able to work with people of different cultures.
Principal Job Accountabilities
- Serves as a customer service representative and promotes service excellence.
- Attentive to providing current information to visitors and maintaining an accurate list of patients and visitors.
- Answers incoming calls and provides information such as patient room numbers and visiting hours.
- Keeps an event calendar and directs visitors to meetings, seminars, and symposiums.
- Calls for transport services.
- Keeps abreast of lobby activity and contacts Protective Services for those requiring additional attention.
- Ensures completion of all required pre-surgical patient registration information.
- Responsible for keeping families in the surgical waiting area informed about communication from surgery.
- Walks patients and families to and from assigned patient rooms multiple times per shift.
- Maintains beepers/related equipment in proper working order.
- Provides assistance to lobby traffic during drills, alarms, or disasters.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
