WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
The GRAMMY Museum is an exciting and interactive celebration of the power of music occupying a vibrant space in downtown Los Angeles. Four floors of cutting-edge exhibits, interactive experiences, and films provide a one-of-a-kind visitor experience - engaging, educational, celebratory, and inspirational.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Aid customers with ticket purchases by using TicketSocket/Universe and cash handling.
- Keep track of timed ticket allotments to monitor the GRAMMY Museum’s capacity limits.
- Provide information to guests and visitors about the GRAMMY Museum.
- Oversee ticket operations in manager’s absence and follow procedures for opening/closing ticket booths.
- Accurately reconcile all ticket sales at the end of each business day.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstation and retail store at all times.
- Assist management with special projects.
- Assist store manager with all store duties, including opening/closing retail store and ensuring store is maintained and stocked.
- Recommend, select, and help locate merchandise.
- Give tours to groups of adults or students as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous retail experience including with retail store merchandise displays and promotions.
- Strong cash handling experience and experience operating a POS/register system.
- A dynamic and positive personality with demonstrated professionalism and respect when dealing with clients, customers, and team members.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the desire to lead by example.
- Excellent oral/written communication skills.
- Bilingual language skills a plus.
- Must be punctual in reporting to work and returning from breaks.
