About the Role

The Ambassador role at Jasper is not a traditional front desk position. Instead, you own the guest experience with character, ensuring no need goes unmet and no opportunity to make a guest’s visit special is missed. Ambassadors are exquisite hosts, equally comfortable arranging a surprise proposal, giving a hotel tour, or maneuvering a bell cart. You’ll know the ins and outs of the hotel and surrounding community, using your gracious demeanor and warm presence to make every guest feel at ease. This role turns guest details into personalized, one-of-a-kind experiences and positions you as a local expert in all things Fargo.

The ideal candidate will have open availability from 7 AM - 11 PM and be available to work up to three weekends per month. This is a part-time position.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate passion and genuine care for all aspects of a guest’s experience, handling interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism.
Own the guest experience from arrival to departure, ensuring accurate reservations, inviting arrivals, local recommendations, and seamless departures while adjusting as needed.
Accommodate special requests, even if it requires breaking protocol, using sound judgment to prioritize guest satisfaction.
Serve as a tour guide for all hotel experiences, using intuition to personalize interactions and create special memories.
Master hotel systems to ensure accurate information is input, updated, and used across guest communication channels.
Be fanatical about guest details, ensuring all requests are delivered and no aspect is overlooked for a seamless experience.
Prioritize guest satisfaction, adjusting actions and behaviors as needed, and wearing multiple hats (e.g., bellman, valet, greeter) to support the experience.
Display professionalism and discretion in all guest interactions, maintaining a calm and engaging presence.
Demonstrate expert knowledge of service standards, procedures, and practices to remedy guest concerns and suggest improvements.
Collaborate effectively with co-workers and other departments to meet guest needs, mend relationships, and respond to feedback.
Go beyond expectations to assist guests, help co-workers, cross-train, or fulfill reasonable manager requests.

Requirements

Passion for the people, place, and culture of the community.
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in guest/customer service for luxury goods or services, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
Professional proficiency in English (reading, writing, and verbal communication).
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and Word for creating spreadsheets or proposals.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. for handling guest luggage.
Ability to push a bell cart with guest luggage weighing up to 100 lbs.
Ability to work varied shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
