Responsibilities

  • Greet guests upon arrival with a focus on personal recognition
  • Review arrival lists daily and assist in preparing welcome amenities
  • Escort VIPs to their rooms and check them in prior to arrival
  • Answer the telephone within three rings with a smile and handle inquiries or transfer calls as needed
  • Manage issued bank, count at the beginning and end of shift, and ensure proper cash handling procedures
  • Report all cash over/shorts to management
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
  • Assist with lobby activation as needed
  • Follow proper procedures for handling guest personally identifiable information (PII)
  • Follow check-in and check-out checklists, retrieving necessary identification and payment upon arrival
  • Attend promptly to guest needs and inquiries
  • Perform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives

Requirements

  • Minimum of one (1) year in front desk operations
  • In-depth knowledge of hotel front desk operations
  • Minimum of high school education
  • Open availability

Skills

  • Basic computer skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Ability to exceed guest and team member expectations
  • Excellent time management skills

Pay

Compensation range: $15.00–$17.00 per hour.
