Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming room service calls promptly and professionally
- Provide menu knowledge, upsell additional items, and offer recommendations
- Confirm and enter orders accurately into the POS system
- Communicate special requests or dietary needs to kitchen and service teams
- Cashiering & Transaction Handling:
- Process guest payments, room charges, and adjustments accurately
- Avoid errors in posting charges to guest accounts following hotel procedures
- Maintain accurate cash or credit transaction records as required
- Cookery & Communication:
- Liaise with kitchen staff, servers, and runners to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Track and follow up on delayed orders or guest requests
- Maintain communication with other departments when necessary (e.g., Front Desk, Housekeeping)
- Administrative & Operational Support:
- Update and maintain room service logs, orders, and checklists
- Aid in preparing printed materials such as menus and promotional inserts
- Support with to-go packaging, tray setup, and inventory of supplies when needed
- Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or F&B preferred
- Strong communication and telephone etiquette skills
- Basic math skills and experience handling cash or POS systems
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay calm under pressure
- Professional, friendly, and service-oriented demeanor
- Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Occasional lifting up to 20 lbs during shifts
