About the role
The Guest and Resort Care Specialist position at Grand Superior Lodge is a pivotal role in ensuring an exceptional guest experience. This position involves a mix of indoor and outdoor tasks, including rotating weekend shifts.
Responsibilities
- Maintain vigilance in monitoring the property and addressing or reporting any issues or concerns identified during routine inspections.
- Perform daily inspections of the grounds and facilities, arranging furniture, picking up trash, cleaning common areas and event spaces, restocking supplies, and assisting with security and safety issues as necessary.
- Track time and maintain an accurate timetable of tasks and parts used throughout each shift.
- Assist with guest enhancement programming, assembling s'mores kits, collecting fire starting supplies, assembling craft kits, maintaining lawn games, maintaining fleet of bicycles, and assisting with event set up as needed.
- Aid in guest and employee transportation as needed.
- Be approachable and proactive in engaging with guests by being welcoming and outgoing.
- Monitor the pool and follow closure procedures as assigned.
- Perform ground maintenance such as mowing lawns, trimming hedges, removing weeds, raking and disposing of leaves and refuse, chopping and stacking firewood, clearing snow, etc.
- Maintain vehicle, tools, and equipment (including uniform) in good and proper working order.
- Assist the maintenance team with projects; ensure projects are completed in a safe, efficient manner.
- Arrange furniture and equipment when requested; clean resort buildings and grounds as needed; assist with security issues as needed.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all resort property.
- Take and respond to guest calls and requests; work to resolve any issues in a timely, efficient manner.
- Respond to emergency situations and resolve immediate safety concerns; be available for on-call shifts, as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred; one-year related experience preferred; or acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Obtain Pool Operator License within six months of employment, if required.

Physical Demands
- Constantly required to stand, walk, sit, hear, use hands, reach, climb, stoop, and kneel.
- Frequently required to talk and taste and/or smell.
- Exposed to moderate noise conditions.
- May be required to work varying schedules that reflect the business needs of the resort.
Work Environment
- Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
- Seldom exposed to wet, hot, humid conditions, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals or solutions.
