About the Role

As a Guerlain Spa Massage Therapist at Raffles Boston, you will ensure the seamless delivery of massage and body treatments while adhering to brand standards and providing guests with the highest levels of service. This role focuses on promoting wellness, accommodating guest needs, and maintaining a culturally appreciative environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide massage and body treatments to guests, assessing their needs and inquiring about contraindications prior to service.
• Escort guests to and from treatment rooms and other spa areas as requested.
• Prepare and maintain treatment rooms and work areas, ensuring cleanliness and proper sanitization of tools and equipment.
• Promote and upsell treatments and retail products tailored to guest needs.
• Stay updated on current techniques and modalities in the field.
• Ensure guest comfort, safety, and privacy throughout services.
• Handle guest incidents in accordance with Raffles Standard Operating Procedures.
• Report treatment room defects to spa management for prompt follow-up.
• Maintain current licensure and skills in specialized areas as per state requirements.
• Adhere to Raffles Brand Standards, department procedures, and spa service standards.
• Maintain a tidy and professional uniform and appearance in line with grooming standards.

Requirements

• Current and valid state license as a massage therapist.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a luxury spa environment.
• Certification and proficiency in various massage modalities.
• Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and manipulate objects of varying size and weight.

• Clear and professional communication with team members and guests.
• Flexible availability for varying shifts.

Pay

Introductory hourly wage: $13.91. After a 90-day probationary period, the wage increases to $15.45.
