Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, lead and train team in the installation, repair, and maintenance of guardrail systems (W-Beam, Cable barriers, End Terminals and Impact Attenuators).
- Interprets drawings, plans and blueprints to ensure precise installation of guardrail systems and impact attenuators.
- Manage on-site safety, including traffic control set-ups and compliance with VDOT and OSHA regulations.
- Operate and oversee the safe use of heavy machinery (Pounder truck, skidsteers and augers).
- Prepare daily and weekly foreman reports, track material usage, track and record daily quantities and manage crew’s timecards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license (Class A or B CDL), Class “A” is highly preferred
- Clean driving record
- Minimum 5 years of guardrail experience or heavy highway construction
- GRIT certification, Traffic Control certification and OSHA 30 certification is highly preferred
- Ability to work days, nights, weekends and/or out of town when needed
