Guard (FT)

Duties & Responsibilities

• Follow established opening and closing procedures ensuring safety and security.
• Secure valuables, bank assets, and customer information at the end of the day.
• Activate alarm system during non-business hours for protection.
• Inspect ATM’s for skimming devices and report suspicious activity.
• Assist arriving employees by entering the premises safely.
• Observe and report suspicious persons or activity to management.
• Maintain good customer relations by assisting with forms and directing to proper employees.
• Help elderly or disabled customers by holding doors open.
• Ensure floors are free of trip and slip hazards to prevent injuries.
• Assist management in maintaining order if needed.
• Perform other related duties as requested by management.

Job Specifications

• A demonstrated knowledge of law enforcement is helpful but not necessary.
• Active NYS Security Guard License preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time required.
• Good customer service skills are essential.
• Willingness and ability to relocate to other branch offices on short notice.
• Access to a personal vehicle and valid driver’s license preferred but not required.
