About the role

Set-up and operate a variety of manufacturing facilities using CNC controls for multiple operations on transitions, including machining, bonding, welding, operating manual machines, and hand tools. Exposure to gas turbine combustion components and experience working with the latest machinery and innovative technology. Responsibilities

  • Set-up and operate CNC-controlled manufacturing facilities for machining, bonding, welding, and other operations.
  • Operate manual machines and hand tools.
  • Interpret detailed drawings, sketches, blueprints, and manufacturing specifications to determine necessary tools for machining operations.
  • Use material handling devices (jib & B/C cranes and forklifts) to load/unload parts from machines and assist crane operators.
  • Follow Siemens established procedures to operate machinery and equipment.
  • Perform complex metrology and maintain close tolerances per drawing specifications.
  • Adopt and promote a safety and quality culture.
  • Obtain fork truck/crane license.
  • Pass a Process Operator Competency Test and be capable of wearing a respirator.

Requirements

  • 3 years of CNC experience, including the ability to read and understand programs in machining, welding, laser, or other applications.
  • Ability to use shop math and follow complex drawings.
  • Required to lift/move 50 lbs of materials.
  • General mental and visual attention necessary for performing complex process operations.
