GT Broach Operator (Mon-Fri 5:30 am-6:00 pm)

About the role

This is a hands-on manufacturing role focused on machine setup, operation, monitoring, and quality control of industrial broaching equipment to produce complex gas turbine components. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, experience working in an industrial environment, and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Detroit Chain, LaPointe, and Forst broaching machines, including tooling installation, alignment, fixturing, and part loading.
• Monitor machine performance, tooling condition, and product quality throughout production runs to ensure operational efficiency.
• Inspect components using precision measuring instruments and gauges to verify compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
• Perform mechanical adjustments to machine feeds, strokes, and setups to maintain dimensional accuracy and product quality.
• Safely operate forklifts and cranes to transport components and tooling while adhering to established procedures.
• Troubleshoot and identify machine, tooling, and process issues while maintaining a safe, organized work environment and following all PPE and safety requirements.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, machining, mechanical assembly, industrial maintenance, or a related field.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand machine operations, tooling interactions, and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, layouts, and work instructions, with a willingness to learn industrial broaching processes and advanced manufacturing techniques.
• Detail-oriented and safety-focused, with the ability to obtain and maintain Forklift, Critical Lift Crane, and ACT® WorkKeys® National Career Readiness (Silver Level or higher) certifications.

We provide zero or low emission power generation solutions, including gas turbines, steam turbines, and generators.
