About the role
The Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) is Michigan's state-funded, nationally recognized, Pre-K program for 4-year-old children. The GSRP Teacher is responsible for all aspects of planning, assessing and instructing 4-year old's, based on needs of each child, and the requirements of the GSRP grant.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement daily lessons using the approved GSRP curriculum
- Conduct child observations and assessments using approved tools
- Collaborate with the associate teacher and classroom team to ensure high-quality instruction and classroom management
- Develop Individual Development Plans (IDPs) for each child and lead parent-teacher conferences
- Ensure compliance with GSRP standards, licensing rules, and program quality expectations
- Participate in required professional development and coaching
- Communicate effectively with families, colleagues, and community partners
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education, or valid teaching certificate with ZA/ZS endorsement
- Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans
- The ability to meet state requirements for education and our childcare center requirements
- The ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children
