About the role
This role is responsible for the safe and efficient repairing and rebuilding of airport service vehicles, including but not limited to support trucks, stationary carts, tankers, and hydrant trucks. You will inspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles and make repairs to gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems. The maintenance team ensures our aircraft services team can operate effectively by providing proper preventive care for equipment and timely repairs to broken equipment, following established procedures and protocols.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles and make repairs to gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, fueling, and mechanical systems.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual quality control checks on refueling equipment and maintain records relating to maintenance.
- Drive and operate refueling equipment vehicles.
- Provide proper preventive care to equipment and timely repairs to ensure the aircraft services team can operate effectively.
- Maintain a safe and secure work environment in accordance with local health, safety, and security policies and procedures, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), or related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3 to 5 years of mechanical experience.
- Ability to proficiently read, write, and speak English.
- Available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions.
- Must pass pre-employment drug test.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain all required Airports and Custom badges/seals.
Pay
$30.00/hour - $35.00/hour
