Note: This position is a hybrid remote/office role, and you must be available to report in-person to Ada from Monday-Thursday as part of our collaboration days.
About the role
The Nutrilite Spaulding Plant is a world-class manufacturer of softgels, tablets, two-piece capsules, and a variety of packaging formats including bottles, cartons, pouches, sticks, and sachets for Amway’s Nutrilite Brand of products. This state-of-the-art facility is experiencing significant growth with the expansion of tablet and capsule manufacturing supporting the Fusion project. Over the next year, Solid Dose Manufacturing (SDM) will nearly triple their production output as part of NSP, the largest manufacturing site in the US.
This Group Leader will have night shift responsibility in Solid Dose Manufacturing and will lead a team of 10-20 employees who work 4x10’s, Monday – Thursday. Working hours will be flexible, with most hours typically between 2:00pm – 10:00pm.
As a Group Leader, you will oversee the day-to-day work of your production team, equipment, and processes while coaching and supporting your team. You will also provide training, motivation, and feedback to team members. You will be responsible for shift assignments, staffing, maintaining performance standards, conducting performance reviews, and setting the example for model team behaviors. From an operational standpoint, you will focus on providing a safe work environment that delivers quality products.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day work of your production team, equipment, and processes.
- Coach and support your team, providing training, motivation, and feedback.
- Handle shift assignments, staffing, and maintaining performance standards.
- Conduct performance reviews and set the example for model team behaviors.
- Ensure a safe work environment that delivers quality products.
- Solve problems to deliver highly impactful operational results.
- Work on future growth opportunities for the plant.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners as operations start up and stabilize.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience, in either a formal or informal setting.
- Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor, provide feedback, and handle conflict management.
- Prior experience within food, dietary supplement, or drug production environment.
- Prior experience leading a project or making a positive impact to a business result.
- Ability to work with cross-functional partners.
- Proficient with MS Office and ability to pick up ERP systems, including JDE and dcLink.
Pay
Salary Range: $102,100 - $112,900 plus annual bonus.
Schedule
- Night shift, typically between 2:00pm – 10:00pm.
- 4x10’s schedule (Monday – Thursday).
- Flexible work schedule required as the plant operates 24 hours a day, four days a week.
