About the role
We're looking for a Growth Marketing Lead, Performance to own paid acquisition and drive broader growth in the business. As a member of a lean and hands-on team, you'll manage our entire paid portfolio across paid social, search, and emerging channels, and work closely with the Head of Marketing to continue building and scaling Garage’s growth machine.
Responsibilities
- Own Garage’s paid acquisition strategy and execution across paid social, paid search, and emerging channels, with accountability for pipeline, revenue growth, and efficiency.
- Scale acquisition efficiently by balancing growth, CAC, and overall marketplace health.
- Understand what changes at scale and make disciplined decisions around where to invest.
- Test and learn, constantly. Develop hypotheses, test, and iterate fast. Orchestrate landing page and conversion rate tests, analyze creative performance, and think creatively about new ways to acquire customers efficiently.
- Measure rigorously, act intuitively. Read between the lines and see the bigger picture in the numbers. Understand incrementality, multi-touch attribution, and test design, yet are comfortable navigating when data is incomplete or ambiguous.
- Work cross-functionally to identify and unlock growth opportunities beyond paid acquisition, partnering closely with Sales, Product, Operations, and Marketing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- 4+ years owning meaningful paid acquisition budgets in a high-growth startup or technology company
- Demonstrated success scaling paid social and search programs while maintaining efficiency
- T-Shaped: deep and hands-on in paid, and genuinely versatile across the growth mix — you've owned or can credibly own adjacent levers (CRO, partnerships, web experiments)
- Rigorous about measurement and can tell real incremental growth from vanity metrics
- Strong creative instincts and can direct high-velocity creative testing by briefing a creative team well
- Thrives as a player-coach on a small team — in the accounts yourself, leading a teammate, holding vendors accountable, etc.
Qualifications
- You love the energy of a high-growth environment where every day looks a little different
- You like to go deep on performance marketing but can think and work like a generalist
- You have good judgment, high integrity, and a no-task-too-small mindset
Skills
- Experience scaling marketplace businesses
Benefits
- Competitive salary and stock options
- Health, dental and vision insurance (100% covered)
- Unlimited paid time off every year (in addition to company observed holidays)
- Daily lunch and dinner
- $100 monthly wellness stipend
- 401(k) with employer match
- Pre-tax commuter benefits
- Bi-annual team offsite
- Relocation assistance
