Group X Instructor - Bingle

About the role

The Group Exercise Instructor will lead and motivate members in a group environment through pre-arranged exercise formats designed to enhance overall fitness, strength, and endurance while ensuring member safety. The instructor will also educate members on various aspects of fitness.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver group fitness classes based on industry standards and approved formats, ensuring classes begin and end promptly.
• Instruct participants on effective workout methods, explain proper techniques, demonstrate exercises, identify muscle groups, and teach modifications.
• Provide clear verbal instructions, ensuring music volume and tempo are motivational and conducive to learning and fun.
• Coach and motivate participants to achieve fitness goals while monitoring for signs of injury, illness, or overexertion.
• Interact with participants, answer questions, orient new members, and maintain a positive exercise experience to encourage long-term participation.
• Ensure participants use correct form and offer modifications to accommodate all fitness levels.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude toward responsibilities, colleagues, members, and guests.
• Represent Gold's Gym professionally, adhering to appropriate fitness attire for demonstrating proper form and alignment.
• Consistently deliver scheduled classes and arrange qualified substitutes for absences to avoid cancellations.
• Use legally purchased music appropriate for the class format, avoiding offensive language.
• Ensure equipment is functional, microphones are working, and the GGX room is clean and organized after use.
• Report equipment or facility repair needs to management promptly.
• Prepare incident or witness reports as necessary in the event of accidents.
• Accurately record hours worked and submit class attendance information to the GGX Manager in a timely manner.
• Attend required staff meetings and training to maintain or improve teaching skills.
• Uphold the company's vision, mission, values, and code of conduct, and comply with all Gold's Gym policies and procedures.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
