Group Supervisor

Western Secure Treatment Unit (WSTU) is a secure post-adjudication facility that provides comprehensive services to young women (14-21), using a trauma-informed, strength-based, gender-responsive model. Through rigorous education, positive skill development, and individualized therapeutic interventions and treatment, we empower youth to reach their full potential. The facility features residential student dormitories, on-site schooling, a vocational CTE student work training program, a dining hall, and extracurricular opportunities.

About the role

Group Supervisors provide general supervision and knowledge of policies and procedures and licensing requirements within the program and supervised staff. The Group Supervisor provides independent judgment and authority on a daily basis through direction and supervision of both students and staff. Group Supervisors foster an atmosphere supportive of staff development and youth needs, monitor and document behaviors and activities, and participate in educational, social, athletic, and recreational activities. They also evaluate and develop staff and collaborate with other professionals to meet the goals of each employee’s development plan and each youth's treatment plan.

Responsibilities

• Provide general supervision and ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and licensing requirements
• Direct and supervise both students and staff using independent judgment
• Monitor and document youth behaviors and activities
• Participate in and assist with educational, social, athletic, and recreational activities
• Evaluate and develop staff to meet individual development plan goals
• Collaborate with professional staff to establish and meet youth treatment plan goals

Requirements

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• One year of experience working with at-risk youth
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Pass a criminal background check, drug screen (THC not tested for pre-employment), physical, and TB test
• Pass a search of the child abuse central registry

Day shift with a schedule of 3.5 days on and 3.5 days off
