About the role
The Hollywood Roosevelt, celebrating its centennial since 1927, seeks a Group Sales Manager to join its Sales & Marketing team. This role drives group business, partners with Catering and Operations, and ensures seamless event execution.
Responsibilities
- Actively solicit and secure new group business for the hotel
- Manage group sales activities from initial inquiry through contract execution and turnover
- Partner with the Catering team to ensure smooth transition and successful on-property execution
- Generate and respond to requests for proposals while maintaining strong account ownership
- Negotiate contracts and strategically upsell to maximize each business opportunity
- Achieve revenue goals and market share targets set by the Director of Sales & Marketing
- Maintain consistent prospecting activity, site inspections, and outside sales calls
- Travel up to 20 percent annually to attend trade shows and conduct out-of-market sales calls
- Prepare accurate weekly, monthly, and annual sales reports
- Maintain detailed records, data entry, and account documentation
- Uphold confidentiality across all client, vendor, and internal information
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to support overall hotel success

- Strong knowledge of the group sales market and established client relationships
- Proven ability to prospect, negotiate, and close business effectively

- Flexibility to work a schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
