About the Role
The Sales Manager is responsible for effectively soliciting and becoming familiar with all accounts in their market segments. They will prospect and close on assigned accounts/territory to positively impact the hotel.
Responsibilities
- Develop a complete knowledge of company sales policies and SOPs and ensure adherence by the sales team.
- Drive sales and revenue growth by developing and executing effective sales strategies.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the resort's customer base.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and operations, to align strategies and maximize sales opportunities.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to stay ahead of the curve and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
- Prepare and present sales reports and forecasts to senior management, highlighting performance and recommending strategies for improvement.
- Assist in implementing special promotions relating to direct sales segments, such as parties and sales blitzes.
- Champion Camelback’s service culture by modeling and reinforcing the 4 Keys: Warmth, Personalization, Awareness, and Proactivity in all team interactions and guest engagements.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of guests.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- 4 years of progressive hotel sales experience without a college degree; or 2 years of progressive hotel sales experience with a bachelor’s degree in hospitality or a related field.
- Proven track record of success in hospitality/resort/hotel-related sales.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing sales team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Results-oriented mindset with a drive for achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify opportunities and recommend effective solutions.
- Knowledge of the hospitality industry and market trends.
- Proficiency in sales management software and CRM systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to speak and read the English language; additional languages a plus.
This role may require working weekends, early mornings, late evenings, holidays, and over 40 hours per week during peak seasons.
