Job Summary

The Group Manager, Insurance Sales & Service Talent Development is responsible for shaping and promoting enterprise-wide talent development strategies to ensure the organization attracts, selects, and develops top-tier talent in alignment with our HR People Strategy. This role oversees full-cycle development of our insurance sales and service employees through workshops, training, and assessment of business needs. This role partners closely with senior leaders to meet current and future workforce needs.

Job Duties

  • Oversee the design, development, delivery, and evaluation of learning activities.
  • Provides strong leadership during the design and development stage of new learning initiatives.
  • Makes sure the impact of various learning programs is measured to ensure the appropriate business outcomes are derived.
  • Affirms opportunities for continued improvement, sets goals, and establishes metrics for success.
  • Fosters effective project management, consistency, and inter-business unit collaboration by leading the creation and delivery of strategic learning programs.
  • Directs the talent development activities for Claims, Underwriting, and Technology.
  • Drives corporate initiatives and values through learning and development.
  • Safeguards close linkages between talent development, performance management, and career planning.
  • Led, designed, and continuously improved end-to-end talent strategies, processes, tools, and technologies to support organizational growth and business demand.
  • Plans, launches, monitors, and acts on long-range talent development initiatives that are aligned with the organization’s strategic goals.
  • Partners with executive leadership to ensure learning and talent development programs drive desired business results.
  • Ensures close linkages between career management and the organization’s talent development plans.
  • Acts as a trusted Talent Development leader, translating workforce needs into practical development solutions.
  • Partners with leaders in Human Resources to ensure talent development programs are in alignment with recruitment, career development, performance management and compensation plans.
  • Participates in the development of policies and procedures in these areas.
  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; maintains strong knowledge of evolving legal and regulatory requirements across multiple markets.
  • Manages staffing, including hiring, performance management, promotions, terminations, and other related staff management functions for direct reports and all team members through subordinate managers and supervisors.
  • Effectively leads and coaches staff under his/her direct and indirect supervision.
  • Develops, tracks, and analyzes talent development metrics, dashboards, and reports to evaluate effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management Required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Required.
  • Bachelor’s equivalent combination of education and experience Required.
  • 10+ years Training and Development and/or in a related business unit at ACE or another large company.
  • PREFERRED: 4-6 years Experience leading and managing teams, with a proven track record of building and inspiring high-performing teams.
  • PREFERRED: Demonstrated success operating in a fast-paced, high-volume, performance-driven environment.
  • PREFERRED: Strong understanding of talent strategies and experience with insurance sales and service organizations.
  • PREFERRED: Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • PREFERRED: Strategic mindset with the ability to develop practical, scalable recruiting solutions aligned with organizational goals.
  • PREFERRED: High level of discretion, judgment, and professionalism when handling sensitive and complex employment matters.
  • PREFERRED: Knowledge of learning and development principles including familiarity with leadership and talent development, instructional design, technology based learning, skill development, change management, and process design.
  • PREFERRED: Experience in broader HR matters with an understanding of performance management, succession planning and talent development.
  • PREFERRED: Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and different learning styles.
  • PREFERRED: Ability to persuade and direct groups of people to influence outcomes.
  • SHRM-SCP Preferred or SPHR.

Pay Range

The starting pay range for this position is: $160,500.00 - $214,100.00. Additionally, for full time positions, you will be eligible to participate in our incentive program based upon the achievement of organization, team and personal performance.
