About the role
This position serves as a leader for the 1st shift operations at Dal-Tile, a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries.
Responsibilities
- Leads warehouse associates involved in shipping, receiving, loading and unloading trucks, picking and packing, ensuring efficient operation.
- May perform duties such as picking, shipping, receiving, checking, loading/unloading, and putaway.
- Provides direction to warehouse associates and assigns tasks to meet schedules and production goals.
- Trains new employees and guides warehouse associates for assigned functions.
- Monitors equipment and processes, reporting issues to supervisor.
- Maintains a safe, clean, and organized workspace.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- 1-3 years logistics/distribution experience.
- Good oral and written communications skills.
- Good record keeping skills.
- Good listening skills.
- Accurate measurement capability.
- Ability to understand and speak basic English.
