Responsibilities
- Covers daily activities and manages workflow within the department.
- Trains operators using TWI methodology as needed.
- Operates equipment and fills in when necessary.
- Performs inventory and manages supply levels.
- Maintains product ID and traceability by filling out required paperwork.
- Monitors and champions production goals across the team.
- Participates in problem-solving activities and resolves issues.
- Facilitates delivery meetings and discussions as required.
- Ensures shift turnover sheets are completed correctly.
- Maintains an organized, clean, and safe work environment according to 6S standards.
- Follows all H&M procedures and policies, uses proper PPE, and enforces safety guidelines.
- Learns and leads continuous improvement activities, including participating in the Idea System.
- Provides immediate guidance, assigns work, and offers training.
- Ensures departmental compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Reports conflicts to the appropriate authority and provides input into performance evaluations.
Requirements
- Able to perform essential duties satisfactorily.
- High School Diploma, Technical School Diploma, or GED preferred; manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
- Effective communication skills in one-on-one and small group settings.
- Basic math skills in all units of measure, including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Problem-solving abilities and the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to work overtime and Saturdays as needed.
