Group Lead, Cleanroom Assembly Packaging Operator

About the role
This position reports directly to the Production Supervisor and/or Associate Production Manager. The Assembly/Packaging Team Leader will be responsible for using equipment to package finished products according to established specifications and perform operations as described by Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) under Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Responsibilities
- Work closely with other manufacturing support areas to coordinate activities.
- Maintain equipment in proper working order.
- Maintain individual training records.
- Clean and sterilize equipment.
- Follow safety procedures and practices.
- Maintain a clean, orderly work environment (6s).
- Communicate problems to supervisor, technician, or engineer.
- Properly complete manufacturing documentation.
- Operate machinery and test equipment.
- Conduct quality inspection of work in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
- Assist in tracking inventory and samples.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of a High School diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent required.
- Experience working in a clean room environment is preferred.
- Experience working in a medical device manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience working in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) or another regulated environment preferred.
- Basic mechanical skills preferred.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment is required.
- Ability to communicate effectively (read, write, and speak) in English is required.
- Basic math skills, with the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, compute percentages, and work with decimals, required.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and to stand and sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in an open work area and in a manufacturing/machine shop environment on a daily basis.
- Daily commute to Mansfield, MA for the 1st shift or 2nd shift position; may require additional overtime, including weekends and holidays.
Tools and Equipment Used
- Computer, telephone, fax, and copy machine, as well as other general office equipment.
- Strong computer skills are required.
Physical Requirements
- Must repeatedly sit, listen, speak, type, and move throughout the facility.
- Must be capable of using a keyboard for computer purposes.
- Must be able to gown and enter a clean room.
Pay
Salary pay range: $26.21 - $35.38 USD hourly. Individual pay is determined by several factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for bonus, commission, equity, or other variable compensation.
