Responsibilities
- Coordinates with Shift Supervisor on packaging needs for production equipment
- Ensures all lines are adequately supplied with materials (e.g., labels, cartons, trays)
- Conducts PPE compliance audits throughout the shift to ensure safety requirements are followed
- Assists Packaging Operators to ensure smooth workflow
- Sets up and operates multiple types of packaging equipment, including carton erectors, partition inserters, product inserters, top closers, and palletization equipment
- Leads assigned rework operations as the Packaging Operator, auditing processes to ensure procedural compliance and accurate paperwork completion
- Ensures labels correctly match the product in facilities where manual labeling is required
- Manages and assigns break schedules for packers
- Supports troubleshooting and training initiatives for Packers
- Audits packer standard work and completion
- Audits packer quality checks and completion
Performance Metrics
- Completion of staffing report for packer staff

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 6 months of Packaging Operator experience preferred
- Some lead experience preferred
- Good mechanical skills
- Capable of lifting 25 pounds and standing for a minimum of 12 hours
- Able to work with multiple types of equipment simultaneously
