Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a compassionate, caring, and dedicated Qualified Professional (QP) to lead a team of caregivers as the Residential Group Home Manager. The team works diligently to support residents with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges.

About the role

As the Residential Manager, you will provide supervision and oversight of services for the residents of the home. You will participate in the provision and development of structured care plans for individuals. Key responsibilities include hiring, training, supervision, and compliance monitoring of direct support staff and individuals served. The Manager ensures quality services that support individuals’ health, safety, and welfare while collaborating with families and external entities. You will also adhere to policies, manage attendance, and complete required training.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and oversee services for residents in a group home setting.
  • Develop and implement structured care plans for individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges.
  • Hire, train, and develop direct support staff.
  • Monitor compliance for staff and individuals served.
  • Ensure quality services that prioritize health, safety, and welfare of residents.
  • Collaborate with families and external entities.
  • Adhere to organizational policies and manage staff attendance.
  • Complete required training and ensure staff compliance with training requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in a Human Services program.
  • Qualifications for a North Carolina mental health Qualified Professional (QP).
  • In-depth knowledge of therapeutic approaches and techniques applicable in a group home setting.
  • Ability to work independently and adept at problem-solving and de-escalation in crisis situations.
  • Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and current auto insurance.

Pay

$50,000 per year.

Schedule

9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with on-call availability as needed. Flexibility to accommodate house and resident needs.
