About the role

The Group Home Coordinator/Supervisor is a safety-sensitive position ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the adult ID/DD group home in Tucson, Arizona. This role supports a high quality of life for residents and ensures each individual’s person-centered needs are met. It’s an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional experienced in developmental disabilities to provide leadership and support to Direct Support Professional staff and the people we serve.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support the residential group home program by implementing the RISE mission, vision, and values, ensuring a positive impact on the support and operation of the home.
  • Recruit, hire, coach, train, and supervise Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), including performance management.
  • Oversee and manage company and program records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Complete and maintain payroll and billing documentation accurately and within designated time frames.
  • Ensure programs meet licensing, survey requirements, and contractual compliance.
  • Demonstrate competency in financial and budgetary issues.
  • Assist residents with daily living supports, community access, medication, and medical issues as needed, while frequently interacting with those receiving support.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, ensuring support meets all policies, procedures, and compliance with AZ Department of Economic Security, Division of Developmental Disabilities, and other relevant licensing requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all RISE and Arizona State DDD regulations and policies.

Requirements

  • A desire, interest, and experience in working with people with disabilities or special needs.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least two (2) years of combined work and supervisory experience with an organization or agency providing home care support services.
  • Experience providing person-centered philosophy for people with developmental and physical disabilities in a long-term setting.
  • Dedication to quality support for individuals, self-motivation, honesty, dependability, and flexibility.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and be on call.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Language ability (other than English) may be required to meet specific program needs.

Additional Requirements

  • Must possess a valid Arizona driver’s license, be at least twenty-one years of age, and meet driver requirements as specified by RISE Insurance Agency.
  • Must successfully complete a background check, driving record check, and obtain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
