Group Enrollment Specialist
About the role
The Group Enrollment Specialist supports Sentara’s Enrollment Department, ensuring accurate member information across Sentara’s enrollment and pharmacy systems. This role processes a high volume of enrollment-related work, including manual applications and 834 files, and resolves errors to ensure system accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Process manual applications and 834 files
- Research and resolve errors related to member information
- Ensure system accuracy matches what the group is requesting
- Respond to group inquiries and complete necessary research
- Manage assigned emails and tasks in Outlook
- Collaborate with broker services and employer benefit administrators
- Handle questions while broker service representatives have callers on the phone
Requirements
- High school diploma required; college degree or certificate preferred
- Prior healthcare, insurance, enrollment, administrative, or data entry experience helpful but not required
- Customer Service Experience Preferred
- Ability to understand questions, research the issue, and complete the correct enrollment update
- Comfortable working in Outlook and Excel daily
- Ability to manage assigned workflow tasks and shared mailbox responsibilities
- Experience supporting small group, mid-market, or large group enrollment
- Previous Group Insurance or Benefits Administration Experience Helpful
- Previous healthcare payer enrollment experience Helpful
- Broker support experience Helpful
- Experience with Salesforce Helpful
- Experience with QNXT/QNext Helpful
- Experience working from fax folders or manual enrollment documentation Helpful

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms. If eligible, the benefits available for this temporary role may include the following:
