Responsible for the direction and supervision of a large professional or technical, multi-disciplined toll technology group. Coordinates project priorities, staffing schedules, and staff assignments to ensure clients across the country are provided the capabilities to meet their needs. Plans, organizes, develops, and maintains technical programs in area of discipline while ensuring efficient, productive utilization of staff in providing high-quality service.

Responsibilities

  • Provides technical and operational supervision to a large group of professionals in two or more technical discipline areas.
  • Ensures the technical, administrative, direct labor, and schedule targets for the group are met.
  • Manages, evaluates, and develops the performance, growth, and professional development of the full technical group.
  • Coordinates section activities, establishes priorities, and assigns staff to jobs.
  • Builds strong client relationships with new and existing clients to generate opportunities for new work.
  • Establishes goals and objectives, assesses performance, and provides ongoing feedback.
  • Balances client needs with the needs of HNTB and its employees.
  • Recruits, hires, develops, and retains staff, including planning for staff reporting, performance reviews, compensation, and succession.
  • Leads a group including direct and indirect supervision of at least 25 but typically 35-40 or more employees.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 12 years of practical experience, including 4 years of supervisory experience, or
  • In lieu of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field (preferred).
  • 15 years of practical experience (preferred).
  • 6 years of supervisory experience (preferred).
  • Extensive history of supporting tolling agencies (preferred).
  • Strong relationships in the toll technology industry (preferred).

Pay

  • California (San Francisco Bay Area): $225,746.07 – $360,607.36
  • Washington: $216,716.23 – $346,183.07
  • Colorado: $198,656.54 – $317,334.48
  • New York: $225,746.07 – $360,607.36
  • New Jersey: $216,716.23 – $346,183.07
  • Massachusetts: $216,716.23 – $346,183.07
  • Illinois: $198,656.54 – $317,334.48
  • Virginia: $207,686.38 – $331,758.78

Actual compensation will depend on qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and physical work location within the state.
