The Group Director, Strategic Planning is a leader and idea generator who inspires internal and client teams toward groundbreaking marketing. This role establishes trustworthy relationships, serves as a collaborative role model and mentor, and is an expert in understanding patient journeys across multiple brands. The position distills research and data analytics into meaningful insights and strategic recommendations, advocating for the Intouch planning process to address client business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple accounts, owning their strategic goals and marketing landscape.
  • Serve as the main client-facing Planner and strategic voice in meetings, evaluating deliverables produced by the Planning team.
  • Set high standards for work, leading the team to data- and insight-driven strategies.
  • Provide innovative thought leadership and shape the knowledge base within the Planning team.
  • Apply state-of-the-art strategic approaches to problem-solving and encourage creative thinking.
  • Develop and publish POVs on new solutions or advances in existing platforms.
  • Apply analytical skills to every stage of problem-solving, balancing data needs for the team.
  • Communicate clearly, concisely, and confidently in group settings.
  • Champion and mentor individual team members, fostering strong relationships with leadership and clients.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development and inclusive behaviors.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of Account Planning experience.
  • Extensive experience within the Pharmaceutical or Healthcare industry.
  • Subject matter expertise in digital, media, and technology marketing and advertising.
  • Proven ability to lead multiple accounts and drive strategic goals.
  • Strong client-facing skills, with experience evaluating deliverables and providing strategic direction.
  • Commitment to high standards and mastery of topics.
  • Ability to provide thought leadership and guide teams through creative problem-solving.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort with data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience mentoring and managing teams, fostering collaboration and conflict resolution.

Pay

If this job posting includes a base salary range, it represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position in the U.S. Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living).
