Groundskeeper (Year-Round) Apartment Community

Golfview Village Apartments is actively interviewing for an experienced Groundskeeper to immediately join our team. This is a year-round, permanent position offering growth opportunities in the multifamily industry.

About the role

The Groundskeeper is responsible for the overall upkeep of the property landscape and exterior image, ensuring "Curb Appeal." This role includes on-call duties for snow removal.

Responsibilities

• Daily trash removal from all public exterior areas (dumpster areas, driveways, parking lots, curbs, exterior hallways, playgrounds)
• Lawn mowing, trimming, and edging
• Seasonal cleanup of flower beds, raking, aerating, and fertilizing
• Maintenance and inventory of all supplies and equipment related to grounds work
• Light/basic tree and bush trimming
• Irrigation monitoring, clock setting, repair, and maintenance
• Snow removal (including on-call duties)
• Assisting maintenance staff with tasks such as preventative maintenance, moving appliances, and inspections
• Issuing pet violation notices in accordance with company policy

Requirements

• Previous groundskeeping/landscaping experience (6+ months)
• Ability to safely operate landscape equipment
• General irrigation knowledge or willingness to learn
• Strong customer service skills for resident interactions
• Ability to work in seasonal weather conditions (heat and/or cold)

A physical demonstration of basic job duties will be required during the interview process. Pre-employment screenings include a criminal background check and drug screening.
