Job Description
Performs a variety of landscape and groundskeeping tasks while observing pertinent safety regulations and policies.
- Operates and maintains power equipment such as lawn mowers, leaf blowers, hedge trimmers, and street sweepers.
- Removes litter and debris from grounds and empties trash receptacles.
- Maintains and repairs walkways, fences, and other outdoor structures.
- Reports for ice and snow removal and is accountable for clearing primary areas.
- Performs first level maintenance on gasoline and diesel equipment.
- Checks oil, lubricates, and makes minor repairs.
- Proactive in identifying problem areas in the landscape, recommending viable solutions and carrying out steps to resolve issues.
Education Requirement
A High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
Licensure Requirement
- Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance as required by hospital policy.
- Must pass motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications, and training set forth by Nationwide Children’s Hospital and maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.

Additional Physical Requirements
- Works indoors and outdoors, can be exposed to dust, dirt, grease, unpleasant weather, hot and confined work areas.
