Groundskeeper - Full-Time

Role Overview The position involves maintaining and improving the campus grounds through tasks such as mowing, trimming, weeding, pruning, snow removal, and debris cleanup. Additional responsibilities include performing landscaping activities like seeding, sodding, mulching, and minor tree removal. The role requires operating and maintaining equipment, tools, sprinkler systems, and vehicles, while supporting campus events, assisting with waste removal, and onboarding new staff. Adherence to safety protocols, requisitioning supplies, and using computers for job-related functions are essential. Qualifications & Skills 2+ years of related experience preferred; irrigation experience a plusValid driver’s license and ability to pass Motor Vehicle Record checkIllinois Pesticide Operator’s license required within 6 monthsProficiency in computer use, reading documents, math, and effective communication in EnglishPhysical capability to lift, kneel, climb, and work in extreme temperatures or confined spaces Additional Information This role is within the Facilities Landscape Services department, supporting campus maintenance and enhancement.
