Groundskeeper - Facilities Buildings and Grounds

Responsibilities

• Mowing, trimming, edging, landscape maintenance, mulching, planting, leaf removal, snow removal
• Operating commercial landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other power tools
• Assisting with herbicide and pesticide applications in accordance with safety standards and departmental procedures

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent within six months of start date
• Two (2) years of horticulture experience required
• Valid PA Certified Public Pesticide Applicator License Cat 23 + Core, or obtain within 6 months of hire
• Minimum two (2) years of prior experience plowing snow with trucks and grounds equipment required
• Prior experience proficiently operating a skid loader required

Qualifications

This role requires a minimum score of 75% on a written and skills test covering operation of various landscape/lawn care equipment and tools, and operation of a skid loader.
