Key Responsibilities
- Maintain outdoor grounds, lawns, trees, shrubs, flower beds, and landscaped areas.
- Operate landscaping equipment including ride-on mowers, walk-behind mowers, trimmers, hedge cutters, weed trimmers, and blowers.
- Mow lawns and trim edges around sidewalks, flower beds, parking lots, and building perimeters.
- Plant flowers, shrubs, grass, and other landscaping elements as needed.
- Spread mulch and replenish soil in landscaped areas.
- Prune shrubs, hedges, and small trees to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Remove low-hanging tree limbs that may pose safety hazards.
- Maintain established lawns by aerating, mulching, weeding, edging, and removing thatch.
- Remove leaves using blowers, rakes, or vacuums.
- Keep grounds free of trash, litter, and debris and empty outdoor receptacles.
- Maintain sidewalks, driveways, parking areas, and other exterior surfaces.
- Perform seasonal duties including snow removal using shovels or snow blowers.
- Load, unload, and transport landscaping equipment and materials.
- Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and landscaping vehicles after use.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
Cleaning Duties
- Perform commercial and residential cleaning services.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms and restock supplies.
- Sweep, dust, mop, and vacuum floors.
- Remove trash and maintain waste disposal areas.
- Clean interior windows and glass surfaces.
- Disinfect high-touch surfaces and common areas.
- Perform specialized disinfecting services when required.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including masks, gloves, eye protection, and protective clothing.
Additional Responsibilities
- Stage equipment, materials, and supplies for daily work assignments.
- Auxiliary tasks such as assisting with lifting and moving heavy tools, plants, and equipment.
- Participate in staff meetings and safety briefings as required.
- Drive a company vehicle to job sites when necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma is preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment and maintenance procedures.
- Must be able to obtain and wear an Agency uniform.
- An NYS Driver’s license and access to a vehicle is a plus.
- Computer literacy is a plus.
