Groundskeeper

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintains facility grounds, including cleaning the yard, trimming shrubbery, raking, planting, and weeding.
• Cleans parking lots and driveways.
• Removes snow from sidewalks and driveways and spreads sand, salt to prevent slipping, requiring additional hours to be worked before/after regular shift.
• Responds to scheduled and/or unscheduled emergency events.
• Sets up and cleans up for outdoor and indoor athletic activities.
• Uses approved methods and materials in cleaning and caring for assigned facility.
• Dusts, vacuums, sweeps, and mops.
• Operates floor equipment such as auto floor scrubbers and vacuums.
• Empties trash receptacles.
• General cleaning of furniture, windows, window sills, and walls.
• Stocks restrooms, janitorial closets, and break rooms.
• Fulfills additional duties as assigned or needed.

Position Requirements

• Some grounds experience required.
• GED/High School Diploma.
• Valid driver’s license (no restrictions).
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Maintain a positive attitude which supports team performance and productivity.
• Must have team aptitude and approach.
