Groundskeeper

Responsibilities

• Maintains all trash receptacles in outdoor public areas, ensuring the area is clean and free of litter.
• Cleans outside public areas, sidewalks, and parking areas; picks up leaves and litter.
• Trims and prunes tree branches.
• Operates and maintains power lawn mower, sweepers, chainsaws, trimmers, scrubbers, power washers, and other equipment, ensuring it is clean and in proper working condition.
• Ensures all plant beds are free of weeds, dead flowers, and debris.
• Operates snow removal equipment, if necessary.
• Maintains water features.
• Applies fertilizers and chemicals as instructed.
• Maintains and repairs irrigation systems.
• May assist Wastewater Treatment Operators with repairs and maintenance.
• Maintains spray fields and associated equipment.
• Assists other departments when needed.
• Adheres to Company, Departmental, and safety policies and procedures, as well as OSHA regulations.
• Maintains superior communication via email and pass-downs to the entire department.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Grounds maintenance experience required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
