About the Role
Northland is seeking a reliable and dedicated Groundskeeper to join their team. This position plays a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the overall appearance of the community. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing regular inspections to identify and address issues related to irrigation systems, outdoor lighting, or other equipment, promptly reporting any malfunctions or necessary repairs.
- Maintaining walkways, parking lots, recreation spaces, and other common areas by regularly cleaning and removing debris to ensure a safe and inviting environment for residents and visitors.
- Actively ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Qualifications & Requirements
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities:
- Prior experience or knowledge of landscaping or groundskeeping is preferred, but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential to collaborate effectively with team members and provide excellent service to our residents and visitors.
- Possess a strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to operate small hand tools and power equipment safely, showcasing technical skills and commitment to workplace safety.
- Possess good time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks, helping to effectively manage workload and meet deadlines.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods of time and climb, bend, and squat. Must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry weights up to 50 pounds. Must be able to work inside and outside in all weather conditions. May be required to operate a golf cart on the property.
