Continental Properties is seeking a Groundskeeper to join their team at the Springs at Mundelein residential apartment community in Mundelein, IL. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service and maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
About the Role
The Groundskeeper will be responsible for ensuring the property's overall appearance and safety, performing daily maintenance tasks, and responding to emergencies. They will also assist with landscaping and stock common areas as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide top-notch customer service and a courteous, professional approach in all interactions
- Maintain the property's appearance by performing regular grounds upkeep, pressure washing, cleaning dumpster areas, and removing trash
- Assist with landscaping tasks such as watering, planting, mulching, and pruning
- Stock common areas with refreshments as needed
- Respond to emergencies and perform additional tasks as needed
Requirements
- Ability to operate basic equipment such as blowers, mowers, pressure washers, vacuums, etc.
- Willingness to work overtime and on-call, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in groundskeeping or similar field preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects
