Groundskeeper - 83 West Townhomes

About the role

AMP Residential is seeking a Groundskeeper to join our team at 83 West Townhomes, a 504-unit community in West Bloomfield, MI. We prioritize integrity, professionalism, and hands-on management, aiming to set the gold standard in property management. As part of our team, you’ll help create a welcoming environment for residents while engaging in meaningful, challenging work.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grounds and common areas to ensure a clean, debris-free, and visually appealing property.
• Adhere to community policies and safety procedures.
• Assist in maintenance and cleaning of the indoor/outdoor community swimming pool.
• Perform tasks such as maintaining site lighting, blowing leaves, and removing debris from stair and window wells.
• Plant and maintain seasonal landscaping.
• Assist service staff with apartment preparation and service requests as needed.
• Report any issues found in the community to the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining and cleaning grounds/common areas.
• Some maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience with community swimming pool maintenance preferred (willing to train).
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Self-motivated and team-oriented.
• Valid Driver’s License with auto insurance.
• Ability to pass a drug screening.

Physical Demands

• Stand, walk, sit, use hands to fingers, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
• Climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Talk or hear.
• Occasionally lift or move up to 60 lbs.
• Use common tools and equipment, including portable power tools, hand tools, plumbing tools, and flooring tools.
