Grounds Worker - Temporary (Effective 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR)
About the role
Assist in maintaining school grounds and athletic playing fields.
Responsibilities
- Maintain school grounds and athletic playing fields.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, and cleaning.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Requirements
- Prior to start date: FBI fingerprint background check.
- Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
- Post-offer/pre-employment physical examination and 50 lb. lift test.
- Valid Arizona Driver’s license.
- MVReport – showing no more than the allowable points against Driver’s License as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees.
Qualifications
- Basic math skills.
- Verbal & written communication skills in English.
- A demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
Skills
- Knowledge of landscaping and maintenance practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
