Grounds Worker - Roving (Effective 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR)

Travels to district sites and assists with maintaining school grounds and athletic playing fields.

Requirements

• Basic math skills
• Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions
• FBI fingerprint background check
• Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization
• Post-offer/pre-employment physical examination and lift test
• Valid Arizona Driver’s license with MVReport showing no more than the allowable points against Driver’s License as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees

Schedule

• Effective: 2026-2027 school year
• 12-month work calendar
• 1.0 FTE – 8 hours per day
• Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits

Pay

Higher pay rates funded through a community-approved override, guaranteed through June 2031. Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language. For more information on salary schedule, please reference the Employee Agreements Webpage.
