About the role
The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Grounds Maintenance Worker 4. The major purpose of this position is to ensure that all athletic fields, turfs, outside courts, courses, tracks and surrounding athletic areas are clean, healthy and game/event ready on a daily basis by working on sprinkler systems, landscaping and trash removal. Due to the nature of athletics and the event industry, this position works a variable work week schedule that may include weekends, evenings and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all athletic fields, turfs, outside courts, courses, tracks and surrounding athletic areas are clean, healthy and game/event ready on a daily basis.
- Work on sprinkler systems, landscaping and trash removal.
- Work a variable work week schedule that may include weekends, evenings and holidays.
Requirements
- Two years of experience performing grounds maintenance work using a variety of tools and techniques.
- One year of experience as a Grounds Maintenance Worker III in Nevada State service.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
