Grounds Maintenance Technician (Full-Time)

About the role

Massanutten Resort is currently seeking an enthusiastic, self-driven individual to join their team as a Grounds Technician. If you enjoy working outdoors and have a passion for well-kept grounds, then this is the place for you!

Responsibilities

• Carry out basic landscape functions safely and efficiently on assigned areas with little or no supervision
• Weed eating, mowing, and mulching
• Work outdoors in various conditions
• Carry out snow removal functions which include operation of snowplow trucks and other snow removal equipment safely and efficiently
• Clear snow from parking lots, roads, sidewalks, and driveways
• Apply salt, sand, or other de-icing materials as directed
• Good communication skills

Schedule

• Four-day workweek with every weekend off
• Rotating two-week schedule:
  • Week 1: Work Monday through Thursday, off Friday through Monday
  • Week 2: Work Tuesday through Friday, off Saturday and Sunday
  • 4-day weekend every other week
• Weekends (as needed)
• Overtime (as needed)
• Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Qualifications

• Dependable
• Performs all tasks in a safe and efficient manner
• Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Good driving record
• Must be 18
• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
