Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Minimum three to five years’ experience in grounds maintenance preferred.
- Ability to operate and maintain a commercial-grade mower and other related equipment.
- Knowledge of irrigation equipment operations.
- Ability to safely operate and maneuver a truck with trailer loaded with mower and equipment.
- Comply with all safety rules and regulations of trade.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Willing to occasionally perform work in poor weather conditions.
Responsibilities
- Assume primary responsibility for the maintenance and safe condition of all Fort Mill School District sports fields playing surfaces, irrigation systems, and immediate surrounding areas as required.
- Recommend and maintain supplies and equipment required to support all Fort Mill School District sport fields and irrigation systems.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the Director or Maintenance Supervisor.
Schedule
240 days per year, 8 hours per day.
Pay
Salary based on the FMSD M2 Salary Schedule, commensurate with education and experience according to the district formula.
