Grounds Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Grounds Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the buildings, grounds, playgrounds, and equipment at all ECS facilities while ensuring compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and other applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance, routine inspections, and repairs involving basic carpentry, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing work
• Identifies and reports facility concerns as needed
• Coordinates with vendors, utility companies, and building owners to address repairs, emergencies, playground maintenance, and facility improvement projects
• Assists with inventory management, supply procurement, and budget planning for major maintenance needs
• Delivers supplies and equipment to ECS sites
• Maintains accurate maintenance records
• Adheres to safety standards
• Prioritizes and solves problems in a dynamic work environment

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED is required.
