Grounds Crew Operations Manager

The Grounds Crew Operations Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of grounds maintenance and field management, including managing multiple crews, ensuring quality control, and addressing customer service issues. Challenges include coordinating crews effectively, maintaining high-quality standards, and adapting to weather-related impacts.

Responsibilities

• Manage approximately 20-25 employees across multiple crews
• Oversee crew scheduling and dispatch
• Handle payroll and timesheet management
• Conduct training and development for crew members
• Perform quality control inspections and field visits
• Resolve customer issues and complaints
• Implement performance management practices
• Coordinate with other department managers
• Maintain operational oversight from both office and field
• Transition to winter zone manager for snow operations

Requirements

• Operations management experience
• Experience leading field service teams
• Strong scheduling and dispatch experience
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Customer service experience
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Experience using operational software preferred
• Valid driver's license
• Landscape maintenance experience is preferred
• Commercial grounds maintenance experience is preferred
• Lawn care operations experience is preferred
• Snow and ice management experience is preferred
• Property maintenance services experience is preferred

Pay

Salary Range: $75,000-$85,000+ / Year DOE
