Grounds Crew Assistant

Temporary (Fixed Term) position on the day shift.

About the Role

The Grounds Crew Assistant will assist in the maintenance of the University of Arkansas Athletic Department grounds and competition fields/stadiums. These include synthetic and natural grass surfaces, as well as landscaped beds. This position will assist with snow and ice removal and must be able to work outside activities/events when applicable, which would include nights and weekends. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the maintenance of athletic department grounds and competition fields/stadiums, including synthetic and natural grass surfaces and landscaped beds.
• Assist with snow and ice removal.
• Work outside activities/events, including nights and weekends.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to operate small engine lawn care equipment.

Pay

$11.00 per hour
