Grounds Crew

About the role

Maintains Jackson Rancheria buildings and surrounding facilities in an orderly condition while providing customer service to internal and external guests.

Responsibilities

• Remove debris from parking structures, parking lots, roadways, and other assigned areas.
• Empty trash cans in parking structures and lots.
• Sweep and mop stairwells.
• Remove ashtray debris and ensure ashtrays are clean.
• Check and supply remotely located security stations (e.g., water cups).
• Fuel portable lighting assemblies and check fluid levels under proper supervision.
• Perform portapotty maintenance with proper safety attire and supervision:
  • Ensure units are clean and contain the proper amount of chemical solutions.
  • Maintain fluid levels and sterilize units.
  • Stock units with suitable paper products.
• Transfer debris from loading docks I, II, and III to refuse compactor and sort recyclable materials.
• Use proper equipment, fluids, and supplies to remove oils and grease from parking structures and lots (e.g., portable pressure washers, pressure washer tanks, and scrubbers).
• Conduct daily/weekly vehicle and equipment inspections under proper supervision and complete Vehicle Condition Reports.
• Operate street sweepers and other cleaning equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school education or up to one month of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid California Class C driver’s license; must be vehicle insurable through JRCR’s agent.

Pay

Pay range: $21.00 - $27.30 per hour.

Non-exempt employees will receive a $1.00 per hour shift differential for any hours worked between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM.

Work Environment

This is not a smoke-free workplace. Although state-of-the-art air filtration systems are employed, cigarette smoke is present in the work environment.
